The Quick Answer
A nicotine pouch can from most brands holds either 15 or 20 pouches. Classic ZYN and both Lucy lines are 15 per can. ZYN Ultra, every VELO line, FRE and Juice Head are 20 per can.
Every Juice Head can holds 20 pouches, in 6mg or 12mg, for 21+ only. Below, we go brand by brand, then show you the one number that actually matters when you compare cans: the price of a single pouch.
So you're standing at a counter, or scrolling a cart, and two cans cost about the same.
One of them quietly holds five fewer pouches.

That's the reason people ask how many pouches in a can. The answers online don't help much. Some are a year old, some are copied from each other, and most stop at the count without doing the one bit of math that makes it useful.
We'd rather just show you the count.
Every number below was read on each brand's own website on September 30, 2026. Where a brand's site didn't show a count, we say so, and we don't fill the gap with a guess.
Nicotine pouches per can, brand by brand
Here's the short version first, a can holds 15 or 20, and nothing in between.
That gap is bigger than it sounds. Five pouches is a quarter of a 20-count can.

A quick note on how we did this. We only used the brand's own website, never a store listing or another comparison page, and we wrote the date next to every figure. Where a brand has more than one line with different counts, we list each line separately.
Juice Head
20 pouches per can, in every flavor. Each flavor comes in 6mg and 12mg, and the number on the lid is the amount in each pouch.
A single can is $4.99 on our site, which works out to about 25 cents a pouch. Our pouches are slim, dry-style and tobacco-free, infused with Zero Tobacco Nicotine.
ZYN and ZYN Ultra
If you're searching how many pouches in a can of zyn, the answer depends on which ZYN you mean.
ZYN's own FAQ says every can of classic ZYN contains 15 pouches, in 3mg and 6mg. The same page says ZYN Ultra comes with 20 pouches per can, in 9mg and 11mg, and describes it as having a hint of moisture .
ZYN.com doesn't list a price. Its FAQ says the online ZYN store has suspended operations, so there's no own-site price to divide.
Not in our lineup: 3mg, 9mg or 11mg, and a moist pouch. If one of those is what you're after, that's the can to buy.
VELO
VELO's product information page lists three lines, and all three hold 20 pouches per can (checked September 30, 2026).
Standard VELO comes in about 4mg or 7mg. VELO PLUS comes in about 3mg, 6mg or 9mg. VELO MAX comes in about 8mg or 12mg. No price is listed on that page.
on!
We couldn't read a count for on!
The on! site asks you to register and verify your identity before it shows product pages, and we don't guess a number we couldn't read. If you're holding an on! can, the count is printed on it.
Rogue
Rogue's own site sells its standard pouches as a 5-pack for $26.99, in 3mg and 6mg, and lists a bigger pouch called F-Bomb at the same 5-pack price.
What the product page didn't show us, when we checked on September 30, 2026, was how many pouches are in each can. So there's no count here, and no per-pouch price either, because you can't divide by a number you don't have.
FRE
FRE's home page says it plainly: 20 pouches, every can. Its Mint product page lists 5 cans to a roll and strengths of 3mg, 6mg, 9mg, 12mg and 15mg (checked September 30, 2026).
On that page, a single can is $5.29, a 5-can roll is $24.99, and a 100-count pack is also $24.99. That's about 26 cents a pouch for the single and about 25 cents for the roll or the 100-count pack.
Not in our lineup: 3mg, 9mg, 15mg, or a 100-count pack.
Lucy
Lucy's product pages say each can of Pouches, and each can of Breakers, contains 15 pouches. Both come in 4mg, 8mg and 12mg (checked September 30, 2026).
Lucy sells them in multi-can packs. A 5-pack of Pouches is $29.95, or about 40 cents a pouch. A 5-pack of Breakers is $34.95, or about 47 cents a pouch.
Breakers have a flavor capsule inside that you can burst. Not in our lineup. If that's the part that interests you, go try theirs.
Why can counts differ
If you've noticed that the answer to how many pouches in a can changes from brand to brand, that's not an accident. A few plain, physical things decide it, and they trade off against each other.
Pouch size
A can is a fixed round space. Slim pouches lie side by side in a ring, and the wider or longer each pouch is, the fewer fit around that ring.
So when a brand makes a bigger pouch, something usually gives. Either the can gets bigger or the count drops.
Can size
The other lever is the can itself. A deeper or wider can holds more pouches, and some brands also sell larger packs or containers that hold many more than one can does.
Ours stays one size. Every Juice Head can is 2.75 inches across, and it holds twenty.
Price point
This is the one that catches people.
A store shelf trains you to compare the price on the can. But a brand can keep a can at a familiar price by changing what's inside it, and a 15-count can and a 20-count can at the same price are not the same purchase. One of them gives you a third more pouches.
The price on the can is only half the number.
Price per pouch, not price per can
Price per can is what you see. Price per pouch is what you actually pay for each one you use.
Put two cans side by side at the same $4.99. If one holds 15 pouches, each pouch costs about 33 cents. If the other holds 20, each costs about 25 cents. Same sticker, different price.
The math

It's one division, and it takes about ten seconds on a phone calculator.
Take the price you're paying, divide it by the number of pouches you're getting, and you have the cost of one pouch. That's the only figure that lets you compare a 15-count can with a 20-count can, or a single can with a 5-pack.
Here it is as steps.
Look at the front of the can. Ours says 20 NICOTINE POUCHES right under the flavor name. For a multi-pack, multiply that count by the number of cans in the pack.
Single can, 5-pack and subscription prices are often different, so use the price for the thing you're actually buying.
Our single can is $4.99 divided by 20, or about 25 cents a pouch. A Lucy 5-pack is $29.95 divided by 75, or about 40 cents.
Count the pouches, then divide the price. That's the whole trick.
Why a bigger can isn't always cheaper
More pouches in a can doesn't automatically mean each one costs less. You still have to divide.
Our own lineup is a good example, and it surprises people. A single can is $4.99. Our 5-pack is $24.95, which is five cans at the same $4.99 each. Per pouch, they're identical, about 25 cents either way. The 5-pack saves you trips, not cents.
FRE's page shows the same thing from another angle: its 5-can roll and its 100-count pack are both $24.99 for 100 pouches, so they land on the same per-pouch figure.
Where the per-pouch number does drop for us is Subscribe and Save, which takes 15% off on the product page. That brings a 5-pack to about $21.21, or roughly 21 cents a pouch.
If you'd like a wider look at what different brands charge, we compared eight of them in our guide to the best nicotine pouches in 2026.
How long a can lasts at your pace
This one's simple, and it's the question people are usually really asking.
A can lasts as many days as the count divided by how many pouches you use in a day. That's it. There's no right pace, and you already know yours better than any chart does.

With a 20-count can, two a day is ten days. Four a day is five days. Five a day is four days.
Run the same paces on a 15-count can and it runs out sooner every time: seven and a half days, just under four days, and three days.
A 5-pack of ours is 100 pouches, so at four a day that's 25 days before you need another order.
And if you're only reaching for one or two a day, a single can already covers a week or more. There's no need to buy five cans of a flavor you haven't tried yet. Put two or three single cans in one order, taste them over a couple of weeks, then buy the 5-pack of whichever one you finished first.
That costs nothing extra per pouch, since our single cans and our 5-pack land on the same 25 cents.
One thing to keep separate. This is about how many days of use are in a can, not how long an unopened can keeps. Shelf life is its own question, and we answer it in our guide to whether nicotine pouches expire.
Does a bigger count change the pouch?
No, and it's worth saying because people wonder.
The count tells you how many pouches are in the can. The milligram number tells you what's in each pouch. They're two separate numbers printed in two separate places, and one doesn't change the other.
So a 20 count nicotine pouches can isn't a can of smaller or weaker pouches. Ours are the same slim, dry-style pouch in every can, at 6mg or 12mg per pouch, and the can always holds twenty.
The can doesn't change either. Every flavor, every strength, the same 2.75 inch can with the same twenty inside.
When you compare two cans, read both numbers. The count for how long it lasts, the mg for which strength you picked.
Counting cans in a 5-pack
A 5-pack is exactly what it sounds like: five cans stacked together in one sleeve.

For us, that's 5 cans times 20 pouches, or 100 pouches, for $24.95. The Watermelon Strawberry Mint 5-pack is a good one to count out: cold, crisp watermelon up front, ripe strawberry through the middle, and a cool mint finish. At 12mg, it suits you if you already know you like a sweet, juicy fruit pouch and you'd rather restock once instead of five times.
Here's the part to watch with other brands. A 5-pack always means five cans, but not always the same number of pouches. Five 15-count cans is 75 pouches. Five 20-count cans is 100.
That's a whole can's worth of difference, plus a little. Twenty-five pouches is more than one of our cans holds.
And if you're ordering from us, free shipping starts over $40. One 5-pack won't get there on its own, two will, and orders ship in 2 to 3 business days.
Trying to decide between single cans, a 5-pack and a subscription? We cover when each one makes sense in our guide to pouch subscriptions and 5-packs.
These counts have a date on them
Every count, price and strength on this page was read on the brand's own website on September 30, 2026. Not a store, not a forum, not another comparison page.
Some of it will be wrong within a year. Brands change their counts, their prices and their lines, and they don't send anyone a memo.
So here's the one check for how many pouches in a can that never goes out of date. Read the front of the can. The count is printed on it, and on ours it sits right under the flavor name: 20 NICOTINE POUCHES.
Twenty in every can. First word on every restock.

How many pouches are in a can of ZYN?
It depends on the line. ZYN's own FAQ says every can of classic ZYN contains 15 pouches, and ZYN Ultra comes with 20 pouches per can (checked September 30, 2026). Counts can change, so the surest check is the front of the can you're holding.
How many pouches are in a Juice Head can?
Twenty. Every Juice Head can holds 20 pouches, in every flavor, at 6mg or 12mg per pouch. It's printed on the front of the can as 20 NICOTINE POUCHES, right under the flavor name.
Is a 20-count can a better deal?
Only if the price per pouch is lower, so divide before you decide. Our single can is $4.99 for 20, about 25 cents a pouch. A 15-count can would need to cost about $3.74 or less to match that per pouch.
About The Juice Head Team
We've been building Juice Head since 2015, starting with vape juice, and we brought the same fruit-first flavor work to a tobacco-free nicotine pouch. We wrote this one because the count on a can is the easiest thing to check and the thing people check least. Every other brand's number here came from that brand's own website, with the date we read it, and ours came off the front of our own can.
